You are buying a fully hand drawn and hand painted clergy stole, which depicts poppies and wording which is suitable for armistice day ceremonies and services.
The illustrations are free hand drawn onto the stole using fabric pen, and the wording is hand written using a pentel fabric gel roller. Any paint work is done with setacolour fabric paints, often using 2 or 3 coats to create a vibrant colour. This paint is then sealed with an iron, following manufacture instructions, making the stole ‘waterproof’. There may be some paint ‘bleed’ onto the reverse of the stole, which is not seen when worn.
Care instructions: it is recommended that the stoles be sponge washed if they are accidentally marked with food, etc, and washed as infrequently as possible. When washed, please iron the reverse of the stole on a low heat prior before a very gentle hand wash. Drip dry, and iron again.
Please note that as the manufacturer instructions for ironing to set the paint have been followed, care of the garment remains with the owner, and no refunds will be given.
As with all hand drawn work, there may be discrepancies and differences between stoles. The pens react differently with different materials, and there may be the occasional bit of ink that bleeds,yet this doesn’t affect the overall look of the product, and enhances it’s personal and hand written nature.
Please be aware that due to the current climate plain white stoles are currently difficult to source and so may be a different length or material to the one pictured.
