40K Inquisitor Sword Cosplay Prop – 3D-Printed DIY Kit – Lifesize Powersword
$36.00 $25.20
Description
Take your cosplay game to the next level with this 3D printed Warhammer 40k Inquisitor sword kit.
Measuring 90cm (35 inches) in length, this replica sword has been printed in sturdy, silver-grey PLA+ (tougher and less brittle than regular PLA) and split into 10 parts for easy assembly.
The sword is perfect for cosplaying, as a display piece and it can also be used for LARP.
It comes with two different pommels (see photos) – a skull and a sleeker version.
Please note that assembly and painting is required by you to complete the sword and bring it to life. All you will need for assembly are two rods and some glue (see BOM).
UPDATE (June 28th, 2023): Thanks to customer feedback parts of the sword were re-designed for easier assembly, better print quality and stability. All future buyers will get the updated version.
B-Stock:
Sometimes it is unavoidable to sort out some 3d-prints that don’t meet our standards, however these are still perfectly useable and there’s no reason to throw them away. The B-Stock version of the kit is complete, structurally as sound as the regular kit, but might have various surface artifacts that require more sanding and filling.

+++ Bill of Materials (BOM):
– 2 rods, 780mm (30.7 inches) long, with an outer diameter of 5mm (3/16 inches). I recommend M5 stainless steel threaded rods because they can flex and are cheap. Other metal rods or carbon rods will work as well.
– Superglue and/or 2k Epoxy Glue
– Cloth or leather straps to your liking for the handle
+++ optional:
– Body filler (like Bondo or similar) for seams
– Spray filler (preferably 2k polyester or acrylic spray filler)
– Sand paper
– Spray primer
– Paint of choice
+++ Assembly:
First assemble the Aquila part of the handle with glue, using the two locator pins for easier orientation. Afterwards start at one end, glueing the threaded rods into the end piece, preferably with 5-minute epoxy. Add more glue to touching surfaces and the rods and just slide one piece after another over the rods. Done!

🌟 Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) 3D printing employs PLA, a sustainable and biodegradable material made from renewable resources like cornstarch. This makes PLA an eco-conscious choice, as it generates minimal emissions during printing and is compostable. However, it’s important to acknowledge that FDM 3D printing, while precise, can occasionally produce slight imperfections such as fine layer lines or surface variations, giving your item a distinctive, handcrafted charm.
