An artistic creation, this double layered wide brim hat forms a star shape around a flat round crown. The ‘Star of Erte’ is fashioned by two wire triangles covered with a cocoa floral stretch lace with edges and crown covered in a soft pea green silk cotton broadcloth.
The hat sits on the front of the crown and is secured at the back of the head with an elastic band of the green fabric. The hat measures 18″ wide x 12.5″ from front to back.
The ‘Star of Erte’ is a one of a kind handmade original by Susan Komater of Komater Sisters. Sue took her inspiration from the historical in fashion and theatrical costume. Her hats are impeccably fashioned with the best quality fabrics, notions and traditional milliner techniques.
