Raw Precious Opal Cufflinks. Precious Opal is a name given to any opal that exhibits “play-of-color”, a flashing display of spectral colors when the opal is “played” (moved back and forth) under a light source.

• Each Stone typically measures ~1.5 cm at its widest point.
• Stone origin: Tsehay Mewcha mine, near the town of Wegel Tena, from the Wollo Province of Ethiopia.
• Stones sourced in-person and hand-selected at the Quartzsite & Tucson AZ Gem Shows.
• Natural, un-dyed, un-enhanced stones
• Handmade by us in our Detroit Michigan studio! Each is unique. Please allow for slight variations in color, shape and size of the stones.
• Easy-to-use, bullet back, silver-tone cufflink hardware
• Hardware is securely attached with aircraft-grade bonding. The reverse side of the stone and hardware attachment point is coated in resin to prevent damage as opals are very soft and fragile stones.

►ABOUT THE MAKER:
Each pair of cufflinks is unique and one of a kind, and made by hand by printmaker, metalworking artist and Cyberoptix founder, Bethany Shorb. I work between my home base in Detroit, MI and a mobile RV studio Arizona, where I source all our stone, crystal, shell, fossil and horn specimens there and at the Tucson and Quartzsite AZ gem shows. All are intuitively sourced in person, from only the most reputable individual suppliers.
► HOW DO I KNOW WHICH PAIR I’M GETTING?
All our cufflinks are handmade with natural stones; they’re gifts from the Earth, and all vary between specimen to specimen. Each cufflink set is unique and one of a kind, and no two two Opals will ever be the same, that’s a big part of the joy and fun of them! Each is a wild new world to gaze within and watch the play of color. If your heart is set on the certain look of a stone shown, please contact us for specific stone size/shape and color requests before purchasing (not after!) – these photos are just an example of many many we have in stock and I make almost daily for you. We can’t Glamour Shot style photograph each pair individually and still offer them at this price – we have many stones in the studio and will absolutely do the best to find the perfect pair for you!
