Gold Brown and Cream 1970s All Silk Neck Tie, Jacquard Weave Geometric Red Necktie, New Old Stock

This is one of three neckties I discovered in the same pattern, all with their original paper price tags still sewn into the blades of the ties. ($17.50!) It seems that a dapper gentleman invested in these beautiful ties but never found the right occasion to sport them. The fabric is all silk in a geometric jacquard (raised) weave and lined with a smart dark blue color. The fabric is a bit heavy, so it would be wonderful for your Fall or Winter wardrobe.

The fabric is cut on the bias, which means it has been cut at a 45-degree angle, ensuring that the tie lays flat when worn and stays generally wrinkle-free. The shell fabric is a classic multi-piece shell construction, as known as the “four-in-hand” style. Features a maker’s label that can be used as a keeper loop for the blade (short end) of the tie.
