I start with oak dowel rods, cut to size and nocked with a band saw, and three feathers are applied by the use of a fletching jig. Sinew is securely wrapped around the feathers in a twisted style. Lastly, if selected, the ends of the feathers are painted dark blue.
The blue tips take a lot of extra time! However, with some good paint and a small angled paintbrush, this can easily be done at home. So, I’ve made the blue tips an optional upgrade. See last 2 photos for most affordable option.
These prop arrows are essentially made just like real arrows, and would be functional, except for the lack of an arrow head.
